Laelia pabstii has been known in the trade as L. mantiqueirae for a long time but the real identity was clarified some time ago and the confusion with L. caulescens (known in the trade as L. crispilabia) settled. Flowers of the two species are quite different, L. pabstii producing smaller, usually darker and more loosely distributed flowers on the inflorescences than L. caulescens). Flowers also tend to be not as flat as in L. caulescens. Plants here in size 2".
